Music Bio
Midnight Owl started playing piano at age five and though out elementary, but it didn’t catch his interest. He first heard metal at the age of 11 when the song “One” by Metallica was in the top 40, and by the age of 13, metal was his favorite genre of music.
He soon got a guitar for Christmas, but at the time, there were very few guitars for left-handed players to choose from, so it was more of a practice guitar. He didn’t like the way it sounded when he first started practicing since the fingering was hard and the strings sounded dead, so he practiced finger movements while listening to other music.
He started taking lessons at the age of fifteen and learned songs by bands like Judas Priest and Nirvana. He was asked to join a band but declined because he lacked confidence in his playing skills.
It wasn’t until he was 19 that he joined his first band and played out a few times before departing. Soon after that, he got in communication with a few other musicians who were playing covers that he liked. He was interested, but instead of looking for a regular guitarist, they were looking for a bass player. He went out, bought a used bass, and joined the band. Going rapidly from guitar to bass, he didn’t have time to learn to pluck the bass strings with his fingers, so he used a guitar pick instead, and still does to this day.
For the next several years, he played in various bands, sometimes regular guitar and sometimes bass guitar. After a while, he decided that he would rather play bass in bands instead of guitar and stuck to bass. He was in his 40s by this time.
In April of 2023, he was asked to join Another Member Gone, and the rest is history.
